Former Hammerhead Aquatics head age group Coach to be inducted into D3 Hall of Fame
Dear Parents and Athletes!
Coach Scott Woodburn is being inducted into the CSCAA Coaches Hall of Fame for his time at St Lawrence University in NY. I have known Coach Scott, since my teens, and he took the job as age group coach at Hammerheads several years back until his retirement. He also swam at many meets for Hammereheads as a Masters swimmer, and I can only say how honored and blessed I am for knowing this man.
Scott had several national Champions at St. Lawerence and several other Colleges in his career. His most famous swimmer is now considered one of the best coaches in the world Bob Bowman, the coach of Michael Phelps. Bob, even wrote a chapter about Scott in his book a few years back.
Sometimes, we do not know we have been amongst greatness, but most of you have.
Again, Congrats Scott ! Too damn long coming.
